“I have been doing this job with passion for 20 years. I am here to help my patients meet their best versions. Every patient I meet is not just a case; they are a person with their own story. The pictures here reflect the trust they have placed in me and a small glimpse of the bonds we have built. Nose surgery is not just a surgical procedure. It involves a very important process of change. Being a part of this process of change is very valuable and fulfilling for me.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a “nose job,” is a surgical procedure designed to change the shape of the nose. This can be done for cosmetic reasons, to enhance the nose’s appearance, or for functional purposes, such as correcting breathing problems due to structural issues.
The initial recovery period after rhinoplasty typically takes about 1 to 2 weeks. Most swelling and bruising should subside within this time, allowing patients to return to normal activities. However, the complete healing process can take up to a year, with gradual changes in the nose’s shape as the tissues settle.
In most cases, rhinoplasty incisions are made inside the nostrils, so there are no visible scars. However, if an open rhinoplasty is performed, a small incision is made across the columella (the tissue between the nostrils), which may leave a faint scar that usually fades over time.
You may start noticing changes in your nose’s shape within a few weeks of surgery, but the final results can take up to 12 months to fully manifest. This is because the swelling gradually decreases, and the tissues need time to heal completely.
Rhinoplasty is generally not considered very painful. Most patients report feeling discomfort rather than sharp pain after the surgery. Any post-surgical discomfort is typically managed with prescribed pain medication and usually subsides within a few days.
